Julie was born in Burma, now known as Union of Myanmar, and is fluent in Burmese. She also speaks a little bit of Cantonese. Julie is a formerly nationally ranked #1 tennis player in Burma for thee consecutive years, and a Division 1 tennis player in Florida in the early 1990s. She is passionate about teaching and leading, and loves witnessing the moment of “ah-huh” in her students when they master a concept.

When she is not teaching, Julie can be found in the garden or on the Pickleball court.  She also enjoys volunteering at her church and taking road trips with her  kids.
