Overview
Growing Light Montessori in Kensington’s Lower Elementary class serves children ages 4.6-8 with a child-centered Montessori curriculum within a peaceful, lively classroom and school community.
Our Philosophy: Follow the Child
To educate the whole child, we integrate Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. Teachers follow the children’s interests and needs, and serve them with child-driven lessons and projects. Children are encouraged to develop their personalities within a cooperative classroom. Cultural studies, music, art, P.E., outdoor education, peace education, and theatrical productions are provided.
