Growing Light Montessori School of Moraga operates on the site of the the cherished Mulberry Tree Preschool. Our building is one of the oldest continuous preschools in Moraga, having been established in 1972. We are honored to continue the tradition of providing a loving environment for children to thrive while celebrating the legacy of a great Moraga institution and teacher. Our campus is nestled among the trees within the Moraga Commons Park, right along the Lafayette Moraga Trail and across the street from the Moraga Public Library. We are proud of the nature that surrounds our classrooms and incorporate the native species of wildlife and vegetation into our curriculum. We offer classes for Toddler, Preschool and TK/Kindergarten aged children.

COVID-19 Policies & Precautions

Growing Light Montessori School of Moraga is now open and operating with updated procedures and policies for the safety of our students, teachers, families and community. For more information related to how we are operating to minimize the risks and spread of infection please refer to our GLMS COVID-19 Policies document, which is kept up-to-date as guidelines continue to evolve.


  • We are fully enrolled for our 2022 – 2023 and 2023 – 2024 school years and are accepting applications for our wait pool and future school years, thank you!

We are currently fully enrolled at our Moraga campus for our 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years which run August – August. Our yearly enrollment process begins in the fall with current families and siblings completing pre-enrollment. Once that process is complete we then know how many openings for new incoming families we will have for the following school year beginning in August 2024. If you would like to be added to our wait pool for the 2023-2024 school year or apply for the 2024-2025 school year please submit an application and follow the instructions below.

2. 🏫 School Tour

Once we receive your application we will contact you to schedule a tour for your family to visit our campus and meet the teachers. Each tour is private, custom tailored to your family and lasts approximately 1 hour with one of our Directors.

3. πŸ’™ Wait Pool

Should an opening become available that is fitting for your child’s age and schedule, we will offer you the available opening and the option to continue the registration process.

4. πŸ“ Complete Financial Policies Packet & Deposit

Upon the confirmation of your enrollment you will be provided with the Financial Policies Packet, which consists of the Contract, Rate Sheet, Financial Policies, Admission Policies, Deposit & Materials Fee, to be signed and returned to the Admissions Director.

5. πŸ“ Complete Registration Packet

Please review, complete and sign all pages included in the Registration Packet, including the Parent Handbook, as well as return the Physician’s Health History Report.
